Ace Indian shuttler and two-time Olympic medalist PV Sindhu lost in the semi-final of the Malaysia Masters 2023 on Saturday while HS Prannoy made the men's singles final.
Sindhu went down against Indonesia's Gregoria Mariska Tunjung 21-14, 21-17 in the semi-final to bow out of the competition.

There is good news from the men's single category though as Prannoy reached the final after his opponent Christian Adinata had to withdraw midway through the match due to an injury. The scoreline was 19-17 in the Indian's favour when Adinata left the court.

Prannoy will now face Weng Hong Yang of China in the final for the ultimate glory. This will be his first BWF final appearance since the Swiss Open in March last year.
