Indian pair Sarabjot Singh and Divya Subbaraju Thadigol won the gold medal in the 10m air pistol mixed team event at the ISSF World Cup in Baku, Azerbaijan on Thursday.
The duo bagged the gold medal by beating Serbian pair Zorana Arunovic and Damir Mikec in the final.

Sarabjot Singh recorded 293 across three series while Divya managed to score 288. The duo's combined score tallied up to 581. The Serbian pair's score was also 581 but as the Indians score more 10s (24) than the Serbians (19), they managed to grab the gold medal.
This was Sarabjot's second gold at an ISSF World Cup, after he bagged the first position in the individual men’s 10m air pistol event held in Bhopal. Meanwhile, this was the first time that Divya won a gold medal in the competition.
Other than the gold medal-winning duo, India were also represented by the team of Varun Tomar and Esha Singh whose combined score was 578 which helped them finish sixth in the 55-team competition.
This was the first gold medal and the second medal for India in the ongoing competition. Earlier, Rhythm Sangwan of India won an individual bronze in the 10m air pistol.

The meet in Baku, Azerbaijan is the penultimate stage of the tournament. The final stage will be held in Rio de Janeiro. The tournament kicked off on January 11 in Jakarta, Indonesia. India's Bhopal hosted the third stage of the competition between March 20 to 31.
India have sent a 34-member contingent for the ongoing event in Baku which will conclude on May 14.
