Ace Indian shooter Manu Bhaker is all set to reunite with coach Jaspal Rana, as confirmed by the latter on Friday.
Under Rana's tutelage from 2018 to 2021, Bhaker won multiple ISSF World Cup medals and a gold medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games.
The duo parted ways in 2021 just before the Tokyo Olympics. Bhaker had an outing to forget at the Olympics, where she suffered the infamous pistol malfunction.
She has also failed to achieve much success in the past two years winning just two medals, a silver medal at the 2022 World Championships in Cairo and a bronze in the women’s 25m pistol event in Bhopal earlier this year.

Speaking to PTI, Rana confirmed the reunion as he said,
I will be coaching just Manu Bhaker and not the entire Indian pistol team. It is a long-term commitment. I will need to bring the champion out of her. Shooters like Manu Bhaker are technically sound normally, so I will focus a lot on the mental side of her game, apart from looking a bit into the technical aspect.
What happened between Manu Bhaker and Jaspal Rana?
Manu Bhaker and Jaspal Rana had a fallout in March 2021, just months before the Tokyo Olympics when the former questioned her coach for 'ignoring her'. She was displeased with the coach for not spending enough time with her ahead of the big event.
The last straw, though, was when Rana wore a T-shirt with a message, that allegedly Bhaker had sent to him, paraded the Karni Singh shooting ranges at the World Cup in New Delhi.
NRAI, then removed Rana from the coaching team with immediate effect, a decision that was backed by the young shooter.
