In 2018, India lost in the quarterfinals of the women's team event as Sindhu was the only member to win their match in that round. There was better news for her in the women's singles event though, as she made it all the way to the final as the tournament's third seed.
Sindhu was only able to secure the silver medal, however, as she lost the final to first seed Tai Tzu-ying of Chinese Taipei 21-13, 21-16. This remains India's best performance in badminton at the Asian Games. No other shuttler, male or female, individual or team, has won a silver medal.
When is PV Sindhu's next match?
Sindhu's first match at the Asian Games is set to take place on 28 September, in the women's team first round. She will play in the women's singles first round on 2 October.
