India went down 4-1 against the Netherlands in a FIH Pro League encounter on Wednesday in Eindhoven.
Skipper Harmanpreet Singh handed India the lead in the 11th minute from a penalty corner. It was also his 17th goal this season.

But the hosts came back strongly in the second quarter as Pepijn Reyenga received an aerial ball and skillfully netted the equaliser in the 17th minute.
Boris Burkhardt then handed Netherlands the lead in the 40th minute from a penalty corner before Duco Telgenkamp extended that lead a minute later.

India received another blow when Mandeep Singh was shown a green card and sent off, reducing the team to 10 men.
India could have made a comeback in the final quarter after receiving a couple of penalty corners but they failed to convert. Telgenkamp sealed the fate of the game in the 58th minute with his second goal of the match.
