The Indian men's hockey team registered a resounding 3-0 victory against Argentina in the ongoing FIH Hockey Pro League 2022-23 on Thursday.
Harmanpreet Singh (33'), Amit Rohidas (39') and Abhishek (59') scored in India's dominating victory over the Albiceleste that propelled them to the top of the standings with 27 points from 14 matches.
After a goalless first and second quarter, the scoring spree began with Harmanpreet's goal in the 33rd-minute courtesy of a perfect drag flick. This goal marked Singh's 18th strike of this season, emphasizing his consistent form.

Building on the momentum, Amit Rohidas extended India's lead to 2-0 in the 39th minute with an excellent penalty corner. It was Abhishek who earned the penalty corner, providing India an opportunity to double their advantage.
Three minutes from the end of the third quarter, Mandeep Singh could have scored his 100th international goal but his attempt was thwarted by Argentina's goalkeeper Santiago.

The match remained intense throughout the fourth quarter as both teams displayed remarkable skill and determination to get the better of each other. The Men in Blue sealed their victory with a third goal through a superb counterattack.
Vivek Sagar Prasad was unstoppable and he made a clear run at the goal. With the Argentina goalie rushing towards him, Prasad selflessly passed the ball to Abhishek, who calmly slotted it into an unguarded net.
India's goalkeepers, PR Sreejesh and Krishan Pathak, also played a crucial role in the victory, taking turns to maintain a clean sheet against Argentina's persistent attacks.
In their upcoming match, scheduled for June 10th, India will face the formidable hosts the Netherlands.
