India's men doubles pairing of Chirag Shetty and Satwiksairaj Rankireddy have climbed to the fourth spot in Badminton World Federation (BWF) rankings, moving up from fifth place to reach the best ranking of their career so far.
The Indian duo won the Swiss Open 2023 crown back in March before winning the Badminton Asia Championship 2023 men’s doubles title in April. After a break, they are now in action at the Thailand Open 2023 which started on Tuesday.

In the newly released rankings, India's men's singles star shuttler HS Prannoy moved to eighth position, after winning the men’s singles title at the Malaysia Masters 2023, his first title in six years. Meanwhile, former World No 1 Kidambi Srikanth moved up three places to 20th due to his quarter-final finish in Malaysia.
Two-time Olympic medalist PV Sindhu remains in 13th position in the rankings while London Olympics bronze-medalist Saina Nehwal continues to be at 36 in the standings.
