India have announced their 12-member men's squad for the upcoming Asian Kabaddi Championship 2023 which will be held in Busan, South Korea between June 27 to 30.
The tournament returns to action after a lengthy hiatus of six years. The last time the tournament took place was back in 2017 and it was held in Gorgan, Iran. India won the gold medal in both men's and women's categories.

India's all-time leading raider Pardeep Narwal and former Indian captain Deepak Niwas Hooda are among the notable absentees from the squad.

How have India prepared for the Asian Kabaddi Championship?
The Indian men's team started their preparation for the Asian Kabaddi Championship on May 4 at the Patliputra Sports Complex in Patna, Bihar. With 40 probable men's players, the camp went on until May 18. The selection trials were conducted at the same venue on May 17.
