India clinched bronze medals in both men's and women's recurve archery at the Archery World Cup 2023 Stage 4 in Paris, France.
The men's team triumphed over Spain with a score of 6-2 in the bronze medal match, while the women's team achieved victory against Mexico through a shoot-off after a 4-4 tie at the end of the fourth set.

The Indian men's recurve archery team, consisting of Atanu Das, Dhiraj Bommadevara, and Tushar Shelke, secured second place behind South Korea, in the qualifying round, shooting 2034 points.
After securing a bye in the first round, the team dominated Mexico 6-2 in the second round and defeated Canada 5-1 in the quarter-finals but suffered a heavy 6-0 defeat to Chinese Taipei in the last four.
In the women's category, the Indian recurve team, including Bhajan Kaur, Ankita Bhakat, and Simranjeet Kaur, claimed bronze as well. They secured the sixth position in the qualifying event with a score of 1979 points. The team achieved wins against Japan (6-2) and Italy (5-1) on their way to the semi-finals, where they were comprehensively beaten 6-0 by Chinese Taipei.

India men's and women's team advance to final in compound archery events
The compound archery events witnessed the Indian men's and women's teams advancing to the gold medal matches.
The men's team of Ojas Pravin Deotale, Prathamesh Jawkar and Abhishek Verma will face stiff competition from USA while the women's team will be up against a formidable Mexico side.
Notably, 17-year-old Aditi Gopichand Swami and 21-year-old Ojas Pravin Deotale claimed first and second place in their respective qualifying events.
The compound archery individual medal rounds will be held on Saturday, while for recurve archers, the medal rounds are slated to take place on Sunday.
