Ace India shuttler Lakshya Sen bowed out of the 2023 Thailand Open after losing to Thailand's Kunlavut Vitidsarn in the semi-final on Saturday.
Sen started the match on a high by clinching the first game 21-13 but then lost the next two games 17-21 and 13-21. The contest lasted for 1 hour and 15 minutes.

Kunlavut will next face Hong Kong's Lee Cheuk Yiu in the final of the competition.
After comfortably clinching the first game, Sen fought neck to neck in the second game where he lost 17-21 in the end. Vitidsarn then won the third and final game comfortably to emerge victorious in the end.
Sen entered the last four stage in a tournament for the first time this year. He had exited from the quarter-final in the Indonesia Masters.
On his way to the semi-final, Sen beat Chinese Taipei's Wang T-w in the first round before beating China's Li SF in the second round. In the quarter-final, the Indian shuttler beat Indonesia's Leong J H in a close fight to enter the semis.
