The Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift pairing has been the talk of the NFL world, and it appears that fans are putting their money where their mouths are.

Need proof? Just take a look at how hot a commodity Kelce's jersey was after his first public sighting with Swift.

Fanatics told TMZ that they had seen a massive spike in sales of Kelce's No. 87 jersey on Sunday after Swift's appearance at the Chiefs vs. Bears game.

"Yesterday, Travis Kelce was one of the top 5 selling NFL players and saw a nearly 400% spike in sales throughout the Fanatics network of sites, including NFLShop.com," Fanatics told TMZ.

Swift's fan base — known affectionately as "Swifties" — may have snapped up the jerseys in an effort to emulate the pop singer. After all, she was spotted wearing one of Kelce's No. 87 jerseys at the game, a 41-10 Kansas City blowout win.

But it's also possible that the Swifties were showing their support for Swift's budding relationship with Kelce. The two are immensely popular celebrities at the top of their respective industries, so it makes sense that they would be a favorable "ship", especially among those who enjoy both football and Swift's music.

Either way, the NFL has to be happy that Swift's fans are now spending money on Chiefs merchandise.

It will be interesting to see whether Kelce's jersey sales continue to trend up over time or if the Swifties will move onto another one of Swift's trends or outfits. Perhaps the suit that Kelce wore while meeting Swift — which was not actually inspired by her "1989" album — will become the next target of theirs.

But as long as Swift and Kelce remain a potential power couple, every move they make will draw attention.

And with that will come an opportunity for top brands to capitalize on their relationship.
