Brandon Ingram has reportedly joined Jamal Murray, Pascal Siakam and Ben Simmons as the fourth member of the 2016 NBA Draft Class to receive a maximum contract extension.
According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, Ingram has signed a five-year, $158 million max extension with the New Orleans Pelicans.

Ingram had turned down a "modest extension," in Wojnarowski's terms, with the Los Angeles Lakers last offseason before he was included in the massive haul to get Anthony Davis. Taking on a larger role with the Pelicans, Ingram was stellar this past season, averaging career-highs across the board with 23.8 points, 6.1 rebounds, 4.2 assists and 1.0 steals per game while shooting 39.1% from 3-point range.
The former No. 2 pick in the 2016 NBA Draft, Ingram lived up to the hype of his selection en route to his first-ever All-Star bid while also taking home the NBA's Most Improved Player Award.
The 23-year-old kept the Pelicans in the playoff hunt all season while Zion Williamson, the first pick in the 2019 NBA Draft, attempted to heal a lingering knee injury.
Although New Orleans fell short of the playoffs last year, Ingram headlines a young and talented core that will again be in the mix for a playoff spot in the gruelling Western Conference this upcoming season.
