The Zee Studios announced today, their first digital film. It would be based on popular Indian basketball star Satnam Singh Bhamara.
The film will be an original and stream soon on ZEE5, an on-demand streaming platform run by Essel Group via its subsidiary Zee Entertainment Enterprises Limited.

The film chronicles & celebrates the inspirational story of the iconic Indian basketball player!

This is the second film/documentary on the iconic basketball player. In 2016, Netflix had released a documentary based on 7-2 center's journey to the 2015 NBA Draft.
Singh was elated and took to social media to react to the announcement:

Over the last five years, Singh has been rewriting the Indian Basketball history books with his achievements.

In 2015, he became the first-ever Indian-born to be drafted to the NBA when he was picked 52nd overall by the Dallas Mavericks. A couple of weeks after, he became the first Indian-born player to participate in the NBA Summer League.
In 2018, Singh became the first Indian-born player to play professional basketball in Canada with the NBL Canada's franchise - the St. John's Edge.
Most recently, he represented the national team in major tournaments like the 2017 FIBA Asia Championships, the 2018 Commonwealth Games, and the first round of the 2019 FIBA World Cup Qualifiers.
