The 2020 NBA Draft is set for June 26, 2020.
We'll have a better idea of where the top prospects could start their professional careers on May 20, when the 2020 NBA Draft lottery is held in Chicago, Illinois. The NBA Board of Governors recently approved a number changes to the lottery system that includes leveling the odds at the top of the draft to give the league's three-worst teams an equal chance at the No. 1 pick.
Previously, the team with the worst record had a 25 percent chance of winning the lottery, while the second-worst had a 19.9 percent chance and the third-worst had a 15.6 percent chance. The new changes helped the New Orleans Pelicans win the 2019 NBA Draft Lottery, paving the way for them to select Zion Williamson from Duke University.
