With the Finals and NBA draft in the rearview, it's officially award season in the NBA!!
The 2019 NBA Awards show will be held on Monday, June 24, at 9:00pm ET (June 25, 6:30 AM IST) at the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica, California.
Shaquille O'Neal will be on the mic as host, with the show featuring a star-studded lineup of celebrity presenters including Samuel L. Jackson, Hasan Minhaj, 2 Chainz, Quavo, Tiffany Haddish, Issa Rae, Charles Barkley, Jay Pharoah, Candace Parker, Amanda Seales and Justin Hartley.
Who will take home the trophies from the regular season for Most Valuable Player, Rookie of the Year, Sixth Man, Defensive Player of the Year, Most Improved Player and Coach of the Year?
The 2019 NBA Awards presented by Kia will also feature the announcement of the winners for the NBA Basketball Executive of the Year Award, the Twyman-Stokes Teammate of the Year Award, the NBA Sportsmanship Award, the Seasonlong NBA Cares Community Assist Award presented by Kaiser Permanente, the NBA Hustle Award and the fan-voted House of Highlights Moment of the Year.
In addition, basketball icons Magic Johnson and Larry Bird will receive the Lifetime Achievement Award and broadcasting legend Robin Roberts will be honored with the Sager Strong Award.
This year the NBA will also present NBA Awards: Red Carpet LIVE for the first time in the lead up to the awards at 10:00am AEST across multiple platforms, including NBA on TNT’s Facebook, Twitter and YouTube pages, B/R Basketball’s Facebook and Twitter handles and NBA.com.
Comedian Tony Rock, Bleacher Report’s Taylor Rooks and Turner Sports’ Allie LaForce will host the show, bringing you all the coverage from the red carpet, from the outfits, celebrity interviews and everything in between
B/R Kicks will also award the inaugural “Kicks Award” live on the red carpet to the NBA player who showed the most creativity with his footwear during the 2018-19 NBA season.
