The odds to win the 2019-2020 NBA title were released moments after the Toronto Raptors were crowned champions, but they've already changed.

According to SuperBook USA's Vice President of Risk Management Jeff Sherman, the Golden State Warriors opened up as 7/2 favourites to win next season's title. Once the report came through that Klay Thompson had been diagnosed with a torn ACL, those odds changed in a hurry.

The Warriors dropped to 14/1 odds, the eighth-best in the league.

The Los Angeles Lakers, who are in trade talks with the New Orleans Pelicans to land Anthony Davis, have taken the top spot as favourites to win next year's NBA championship.

Following the Lakers are the Milwaukee Bucks, who finished with the league's best record this season, and the LA Clippers, who many consider a popular destination for potential big named free agents this offseason.

The now-reigning NBA champion Raptors are placed at 10/1 odds – the fifth-best in the league.
