At the start of September, the NBA and NBPA reportedly agreed to push back a number of key dates, including free agency, which is now scheduled to begin on Oct. 18.

This year's free agent class isn't particularly deep, but there are still a number of players at each position who will draw interest from teams around the league.

The power forward position is headlined by seven-time All-Star Anthony Davis and features a mix of 3-point shooters and defenders.

With that in mind, here are the five-best power forwards in the 2020 free agent class, plus some honourable mentions.

Quick note: I consider Montrezl Harrell, Serge Ibaka, Derrick Favors and Christian Wood to be centres, not power forwards, so that's why they aren't included on this list.

1. Anthony Davis, Los Angeles Lakers

Anthony Davis

Age: 27

Status: Player option

Davis has a $28.8 million player option in his contract for next season that he's expected to decline to become an unrestricted free agent this offseason. The catch? All the signs point to him re-signing with the Lakers if he does decline his player option. Heading into the season restart, our NBA.com Staff ranked Davis as the fourth-best player in the NBA. He ranked 12th in the league in scoring this season with 26.1 points per game and was a finalist for Defensive Player of the Year.

2. Danilo Gallinari, Oklahoma City Thunder

Curry Gallinari

Age: 32

Status: Unrestricted

In averaging 18.7 points and 5.2 rebounds per game, Gallinari is coming off of one of the best seasons of his career. His greatest asset continues to be the spacing he provides as a high volume 3-point shooter. According to NBA.com, almost half of his field goal attempts this season were catch-and-shoot 3s and he made 41.8 percent of those opportunities, one of the best rates in the league. Injuries have long been a concern with Gallinari, but he appeared in 62 of a possible 72 games for the Thunder.

3. Davis Bertans, Washington Wizards

Age: 27

Status: Unrestricted

Speaking of 3-point shooting, Bertans shot the lights out this season. Not only did he rank near the top of the league with 8.7 3-point attempts per game, he knocked them down at a 42.4 percent clip. The only other players in NBA history who have posted those numbers in a single season are Stephen Curry (four times), Klay Thompson and Duncan Robinson. Bertans has unlimited range, capable of doing things like this:

With 3-point shooting coming at a premium in today's NBA, Bertans could make a lot of money as an unrestricted free agent.

4. Jerami Grant, Denver Nuggets

Jerami Grant

Age: 26

Status: Player option

Grant has a $9.3 million player option in his contract for next season that he plans on turning down to become an unrestricted free agent. Grant proved to be one of the more versatile defenders in the league in the 2020 NBA Playoffs. He spent time on Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert in the first round, Kawhi Leonard and Paul George in the second round, followed by LeBron James and Anthony Davis in the third round. Offensively, he's a capable spot-up shooter and an athletic finisher around the basket.

5. Marcus Morris, LA Clippers

Marcus Morris

Age: 31

Status: Unrestricted

Morris split the 2019-20 season with the New York Knicks and Clippers. He got off to a slow start with the Clippers, but he gave them an efficient scoring punch in the playoffs with 11.8 points per game on 50.5 percent shooting from the field and 47.5 percent from 3-point range. Morris is a solid defender who can guard both forward positions, as well as some guards.

Honourable mention

Millsap

Paul Millsap, Denver Nuggets (unrestricted)

Carmelo Anthony, Portland Trail Blazers (unrestricted)

Dario Saric, Phoenix Suns (restricted)

Bobby Portis, New York Knicks (team option)

Rondae Hollis-Jefferson, Toronto Raptors (unrestricted)

Jabari Parker, Sacramento Kings (player option)

JaMychal Green, LA Clippers (player option)
