Luka Doncic made history in Game 1, but the Suns proved to be too much as they earned a 121-114 victory to get out to a 1-0 series lead over the Mavericks.

In the series opener, Doncic found his spots to finish with 45 points on 15-of-30 shooting, but Phoenix's trio of Deandre Ayton (25), Devin Booker (23) and Chris Paul (19) combined to score 67 points.

Ahead of Game 2, Doncic's health looms large as he was spotted with a heavily wrapped leg during Dallas' practice on Tuesday.

Doncic, who was apparently on the receiving end of a knee from Phoenix's Jae Crowder, was hobbled down the stretch of the second half, but the Mavericks still found a way to make things interesting after trailing by as many as 21 points on the night.

According to Crowder, the Suns "relaxed a little bit late," allowing the Mavericks back into the game, but there is also the possibility that Dallas figured something out to build upon in Game 2.

Can Luka and the Mavericks even things up? Or will the Suns get out to a 2-0 series lead?
