The Rajasthan Royals have a new superstar on the team. However, he doesn't actually play cricket.

Phoenix Suns' superstar point guard and future Hall of Famer Chris Paul is the newest minority owner of the Royals. In addition to Paul, Arizona Cardinals (NFL) players Larry Fitzgerald and Kelvin Beachum became minority owners of the Indian Premier League cricket franchise.

For Paul, he wanted to become a minority owner with the Royals because of the team and IPL's promising future. Also, because "cricket rules."

“The potential is unreal, especially in India,” Paul said in an interview with Marc Spears of Andscape. “Honestly, as far as the game of basketball, it’s trying to grow in India. But cricket rules. It’s been an education process for me, too. It’s something I’m excited about.”
