Steven Adams knee injury update

The Grizzlies announced on March 9 that Adams underwent a stem cell injection in his right knee and would be reevaluated again in "approximately four weeks." With the regular season coming to an end on April 9, that timeline means Adams is unlikely to return before the playoffs.

Adams hasn't played since Jan. 22. He appeared to injure his knee in the closing seconds of a loss to the Suns when he dove for a loose ball.

Here is a video of the play:

The Grizzlies have since listed Adams on the injury report with a right knee PCL sprain.

Adams has appeared and started in 42 games this season. In addition to his averages of 8.6 points, 2.3 assists and 1.1 blocks, he's pulling down a career-best 11.5 rebounds per game, with a league-high 5.1 coming on the offensive glass.

Xavier Tillman Sr. has replaced Adams in the starting lineup for most of the games he's missed.
