Saturday, October 23 (ET) – NBA's best game, highlight, performance of the night and top fantasy performers image

Eight games on the first Saturday of the NBA's 2021-22 season provided quite the slate.

A schedule led by Luka Magic in Toronto, the Greek Freak in San Antonio, a blowout in Portland and capped off by a competitive contest at the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles.

Game of the Night

Plenty of games to choose from but the schedule capper in Los Angeles was quite the entertainer.

The young Grizzlies, led by Ja Morant's 28 points and eight assists, grabbed the road win courtesy of a clutch shot from Jaren Jackson Jr.

The shot helped them overcome a 41-point performance from Paul George. The game only had four lead changes and three ties but with both teams scrapping, it never got out of hand and remained close until the final minute.

Highlight of the Night

DeMar DeRozan turned back the clock with this one!

Performance of the Night

Luka Doncic records a near triple-double to lead the Dallas Mavericks to their first victory of the season.

He scored 16 of his 27 points in the second half, and together with Tim Hardaway Jr. combined for 38 of the team's 58 second-half points as the Mavericks came back from 14 down to win in Toronto.
