The rebuild in Utah has begun.
According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Jazz are trading three-time Defensive Player of the Year Rudy Gobert to the Timberwolves in a deal that involves six players and multiple draft picks.
Gobert, who recently turned 30, has long been the subject of trade rumors as there have been questions about the chemistry in Utah's locker room. He is coming off of his third straight All-Star campaign and sixth consecutive All-Defensive First Team selection.

According to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Timberwolves will acquire Gobert from the Jazz.
The Timberwolves are parting ways with five players, with Beasley, Beverley and Vanderbilt standing out as key members of the team that won 46 games and earned the West's seventh seed in the 2021-22 season. Minnesota also gives up Leandro Bolmaro and 2022 first-round pick Walker Kessler, who was an elite shot blocker last season at Auburn.
In addition to the players, the Timberwolves have traded a treasure trove of first-round picks, three of which have no protections. The final draft pick that Minnesota conveys to Utah in 2029 is top-five protected.
Rudy Gobert contract details
A a multi-time Defensive Player of the Year winner, Gobert signed a five-year supermax contract worth $205 million that keeps him under contract until the 2024-25 season. Gobert has a player option for the 2025-26 season.

Malik Beasley contract details
In 2020, Beasley signed a four-year, $60 million deal. He has a player option for the 2023-24 season and can become an unrestricted free agent as soon as next year.
