The G League Ignite have reportedly made another major splash in the high school class of 2021.
According to The Athletic's Shams Charania, five-star recruit Jaden Hardy will forgo his college eligibility and sign with the Ignite for the 2021-22 season.

Hardy is a McDonald's All-American and the No. 2-ranked prospect in the ESPN Top 100 for the class of 2021. The 6-foot-4 shooting guard had scholarship offers from over 20 high-major programs, from the likes of Arizona, Georgetown, Florida State, Kentucky and Michigan, to name a few.
A Las Vegas native, Hardy's senior season was cancelled due to Nevada's restrictions surrounding the coronavirus pandemic. As a junior at Coronado High School, he posted jaw-dropping averages of 30.4 points, 9.1 rebounds and 8.4 assists per game.
Hardy will reportedly join an Ignite roster that already landed another five-star recruit in Michael Foster – the No. 7-ranked prospect in the high school class of 2021.
Hardy and Foster will look to replace the production of the G League development program's former star tandem of Jalen Green and Jonathan Kuminga, two players projected to be selected in the top five of the 2021 NBA Draft after a successful inaugural season.

Hardy announced on his personal Twitter account that his official announcement will come at 9:30 p.m. ET on Instagram Live.
