NBA teammates with triple-doubles in same game: Nikola Jokic, Jamal Murray make history in 2023 Finals image

In Game 3 of the 2023 NBA Finals, Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray did something that no two teammates have ever done.

As Denver regained control of the series with a 109-94 win, Jokic led the way with 32 points, 21 rebounds, and 10 assists while Murray finished with 34 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists of his own. By both turning in triple-doubles, Jokic and Murray made history on a number of fronts.

In the history of the NBA, this was just the 15th time — regular season or postseason — that two teammates recorded a triple-double in the same game.

Jokic and Murray are the first duo to each record a triple-double in the same NBA Finals game. They're also the first teammates in NBA history to each record 30-point triple-doubles in the same game.

The Sporting News takes a look at where Jokic and Murray's feat stands in NBA history.
