The Utah Jazz will be without Mike Conley to start their second-round series with the LA Clippers.

The team announced that Conley has been ruled out for Tuesday's (ET) Game 1 due to a right hamstring strain.

Now in his second season with the Jazz, Conley averaged 16.2 points, 6.0 assists, 3.5 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game on .444/.412/.852 shooting splits during the regular season. He earned the first All-Star selection of his career alongside teammates Donovan Mitchell and Rudy Gobert.

Conley averaged 17.4 points, 8.6 assists and 3.8 rebounds in Utah's first-round series against the Memphis Grizzlies, but he left Game 5 with right hamstring soreness.

"I felt a little tug in my hammy, came to the bench, made the staff aware, told them I'd try to play through it," Conley said. "It just kept getting sorer. … Seeing how the game was going, and that we might have some days off coming up, pulled the plug tonight."

Game 2 between the Jazz and Clippers will take place on Thursday at 10:00 p.m. ET.
