However, while both teams battled to provide to us a thrilling contest, multiple players on both rosters either set or broke franchise records, league records or personal highs.

Lets' begin with the biggest:

Stephen Curry reaches the 400 career postseason 3-pointers landmark

With his fourth and final three-pointer of the game, which came with 31.0 seconds left on the game clock, Warriors' superstar Stephen Curry became the only player in NBA history to knock down 400 career three-pointers in the playoffs.

Curry reached the landmark in just 95 postseason games.

In second place is Hall of Famer Ray Allen, who has 385 three-pointers in 171 playoff games.

Kevin Durant's new playoff career-high

By their standards, the rest of the Warriors were struggling offensively but Kevin Durant was shooting lights-out in Game 5.

He had a postseason career-high 45 on just 26 attempts, making 53.8% of them while also recording 6 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals, a block and going 12-of-12 from the free-throw line.

His previous career-high was 43, which he dropped during a huge road win in Game 3 of the 2018 NBA Finals.

En route to the 45, Durant passed John Havlicek for 12th on the all-time playoff scoring charts and overtook Paul Pierce for the 10th spot on the all-time playoff three-pointers made list.

Fiesty Patrick Beverley sets career mark

Patrick Beverley has been key to the Clippers' two wins in this series, especially on the defensive end of the floor.

In Game 5, he recorded his second straight points-rebounds double-double with 17 points and 14 rebounds to go along with his 4 assists.

Fifteen of his 17 points in Game 5 came from beyond the arc.

His points tally, number of made field goals and number of three-pointers made are all series-highs.

Big night for Danilo Gallinari and Lou Williams

In Game 2, when he led the Clippers' to the 31-point historic comeback, Lou Williams became the first player since Sam Cassell in 1995 to have 30+ points and 10+ assists off the bench.

In Game 5, he did it again, recording 33 points and 10 assists.

Additionally:

Including Game 5, the Clippers are 2-0 in this series when Danilo Gallinari scores more than 20.

In Game 5, he scored a playoff career-high 26 points. The Italian's previous postseason career-mark of 24 was set in the Clippers' Game 2 victory.
