NBA India Games 2019: Sacramento Kings' roster for the historic preseason games in Mumbai image

The historic NBA India Games features the Sacramento Kings and the Indiana Pacers in two preseason games on Oct. 4 and 5 at the NSCI Dome in Mumbai.

Coming off their most successful season in 13 years, the Sacramento Kings have left their young developing core unchanged but they have added plenty of key veteran role players in the offseason so far.

Under new head coach Luke Walton, the young Kings would be looking to take a leap this season, one that they hope could end their 13-year postseason drought.

Here's how the 2019-20 roster looks for the Sacramento Kings as per the team's website (last updated Aug. 8):

Backcourt

# Player Experience Age
8 Bogdan Bogdanovic 2 years 26
3 Yogi Ferrell 3 years 26
De'Aaron Fox 2 years 21
7 Kyle Guy Rookie 21
24 Buddy Hield 4 years 26
10 Justin James Rookie 22
9 Cory Joseph 8 years 27
15 Tyler Ulis* 3 years 23

The Kings have a lot of depth in the guard department.

In De'Aaron Fox and Buddy Hield, they will most likely keep their starting backcourt from last season.

The combination of Walton and Fox could work wonders for the team.

The Kings went from being ranked 30th in pace in Fox's rookie season (2017-18) to being the third-fastest team last season, which also happened to be the sophomore guard's breakout year proved by his top-three finish in the Most Improved Player voting.

Meanwhile, in Walton's only three full seasons as a head coach with the Los Angeles Lakers, his teams have ranked in the top 5 in pace each year.

The back-up guard line-up of Ferrell and Bogdanovic could have used some help last year, so the team went ahead and added former NBA Champion Cory Joseph to the roster.

Rookie guards in Justin James (40th overall) and Kyle Guy (55th overall) would need to make the most of the limited opportunities they might receive.

Frontcourt

# Player Experience Age
0 Trevor Ariza 15 years 34
35 Marvin Bagley III 1 year 20
40 Harrison Barnes 7 years 27
88 Nemanja Bjelica 4 years 31
32 Wenyen Gabriel Rookie 22
22 Richaun Holmes 4 years 25
41 Tyler Lydon 2 years 23
45 Isaiah Pineiro  Rookie 24
50 Caleb Swanigan 2 years 22
13 Dewayne Dedmon 6 years 29
20 Harry Giles III* 1 year 21
42 Eric Mika Rookie 24

The Kings have no superstar wing, one that would rank among the top 30 players in the league but they have got a little bit of everything.

They have experience with former champions in Trevor Ariza and Harrison Barnes. They consider Marvin Bagley III, their No. 2 pick from the 2018 Draft, and Harry Giles III a huge part of their young core.

They have a shooting threat in big Nemanja Bjelica and a couple of very serviceable big men in Caleb Swanigan and Richaun Holmes.

And quite clearly, as the table suggests, they have a lot of depth among their wings and bigs, giving them the opportunity to play a lot of fast-paced small ball.

Just like Fox took a leap in his second season, the team could rally around Bagley and help him take the same jump in the upcoming season, his second.

Given his skill set and playing him as the small-ball center could unleash him, especially if the Kings play with the same or faster pace as last season. His athleticism, speed and dribbling skills at his size certainly make him a must-see.

In the wide-open Western Conference for the 2019-20 season, some momentum could go a long way.

Can the young Kings led by a young coach be among the conference's top eight teams when it counts? Only time will tell.

The Kings play five preseason games, headlined by these couple in Mumbai against the Pacers.

*Harry Giles III (left knee soreness) and Tyler Ulis (right groin strain) will not travel to India as per a Sacramento Kings' training camp medical update.
