NBA Finals 2019: Report - Steve Kerr expects Klay Thompson to play in Game 4; unsure of Kevin Durant's status image

Game 3 was the first postseason game Klay Thompson had missed in his entire NBA career.

He was ruled out minutes before tip-off as he continues to recover from a hamstring injury he suffered in the fourth quarter of Game 2.

Thompson's presence was sorely missed at Oracle Arena as the Raptors cruised to a 123-109 win to take a 2-1 series lead, however, the good news is Klay isn't expected to miss any more time with the injury.

Tim Kawakami of The Athletic, reports that head coach Steve Kerr is expecting the shooting guard to play in Game 4.

Meanwhile, Kevin Durant's rehab from a strained calf continues, with the timeline for his return still unclear.

Game 3 was the eighth-straight game he's missed after first injuring his right calf in Game 5 of the Western Conference Semifinals against the Houston Rockets.
