Golden State Warriors sharpshooter Klay Thompson exited Game 2 of the NBA Finals and did not return, suffering from left hamstring tightness according to ESPN's Ramona Shelbourne.

Thompson landed awkwardly as he attempted a three-pointer, clutching his left leg before heading to the locker room.

Prior to the injury, he had a team-high 25 points, adding five rebounds and five assists, before leaving the game midway through the fourth quarter.

"Klay said he'll be fine," coach Steve Kerr told reporters post-game. "But Klay could be half dead and he'd say he's fine. We'll see. He pulled his hamstring."
The 29-year-old later told Yahoo Sports' Chris Haynes that the injury was not that serious: "I don't see myself missing Game 3," Thompson said.
