NBA All-Star Game 2020: Team LeBron edges Team Giannis in an All-Star Game thriller - scores, stats and highlights image

The 69th NBA All-Star Game was a thriller in Chicago as Team LeBron edged Team Giannis 157-155 at the United Center. 

It came right down to the wire as both teams raced to 157 points, with Anthony Davis icing the game at the free-throw line.

Team Giannis was in the driver's seat heading into the fourth quarter, leading 133-124, but James, Davis and Leonard combined down the stretch to seal the win.

With the win, Team LeBron earned $400,000 for their nominated charity, Chicago Scholars, while Team Giannis earned $100,000 for After School Matters.

Kawhi Leonard was named 'Kobe Bryant All-Star MVP', leading Team LeBron with 30 points and seven rebounds, while James added 23 points, six assists and five rebounds. Davis finished with 20 points and nine rebounds, while Chris Paul added 23 and Ben Simmons 17. 

Giannis Antetokounmpo led his team with 25 points and 11 rebounds, with the big men leading the way. Joel Embiid had 22 points and 10 rebounds. Rudy Gobert finished with 21 points and 11 rebounds, while Kemba Walker had 23 points.

FINAL: Team LeBron 157, Team Giannis 155

Anthony Davis sealed the win at the free-throw line after he was fouled by Kyle Lowry in the paint. The arena held their breath as he missed the first, but he made no mistake on the second, bringing up 157 points for Team LeBron.

It came right down to the wire as both teams turned up the heat on the defensive end, with Kyle Lowry making some BIG plays for Team Giannis.

Lowry drew two charges down the stretch. He got the clutch stop on Harden, who buried the three after the whistle in what would have been the game-winning bucket!

Giannis got in on the action, coming up with a HUGE block on LeBron at 154-153. It was initally ruled a goaltend and would have put Team LeBron one point away from the win.

Joel Embiid caught LeBron with the dream-shake to tie things up at 152-152. Just five points needed for the win!!!!


James Harden's corner three tied things up at 146-146, making it a race to 11 for the win.

Kyle Lowry put his body on the line, trying to draw a charge against LeBron, before getting the call against Kawhi Leonard!  


Giannis sends LeBron's shot away!

Third quarter: Team Giannis 41, Team LeBron 41

Team Giannis leads 133-124 , so the first team to reach 157 points wins the game, with 24 points added to the leading team's total under the new 'Elam Ending' format.

With the scores tied, the $100,000 for charity will be awarded to the team who wins the game.

It came right down to the wire in the third quarter as both teams went back-and-forth in an entertaining 12 minutes.

Westbrook missed a runner as time expired to take the lead after Rudy Gobert tied things up off the alley-oop feed from Trae Young.

MVP Watch:

Kawhi leads all scorers with 28 points, while LeBron James has 19 and Ben Simmons 17.

Giannis leads his team with 25 points while Rudy Gobert has 21 points and 11 rebounds.

Chance the Rapper paid tribute to Kobe and Gigi Bryant with a touching half-time performance. 

Second quarter: Team Giannis 51, Team LeBron 30

Team Giannis bounced back in Q2, to earn $100,000 for their selected charity, After School Matters.

Trae Young ended the quarter in style with this half-court buzzer-beater!

Giannis Antetokounmpo took control in the second, scoring 14 points in the period, putting on a dunk-fest along the way.

Kawhi Leonard showed no signs of slowing down as an early contender for MVP, with 13 points in the period. He's got 25 at the half on a sizzling 7-of-10 shooting from the three-point line.

Chris Paul had the highlight of the quarter, throwing down his first career alley-oop off the Russell Westbrook feed.


First quarter: Team LeBron 53, Team Giannis 41

Kawhi Leonard started the game on fire, scoring 12 points in the first quarter on 4-of-4 shooting from three as Team LeBron wins it by 12 points.

As a whole. Team LeBron went 9-of-18 from the three-point line with five different players connecting on at least one triple.


With a first-quarter lead, Team LeBron earns $100,000 for their nominated Chicago based charity - the Chicago Scholars program.

There was no shortage of highlights in Q1, headlined by LeBron James.

James was attacking the rim fromt he jump, throwing down a reverse jam a couple of minutes in.

He soon followed it up with an alley-oop off the James Harden feed.


Ben Simmons got in on the act, combining with Luka Doncic for the one-two alley-oop throwdown!
