Yesterday (July 29th), Ann Mary Zachariah announced her commitment for the final couple of years of high school to Life Prep Academy in Wichita, Kansas.
In 2019, the 16-year-old 6-2 forward had been selected for the two NBA Academy India Women's Camp held in January and October.
In the first of these two camps, held in January at the NBA Academy India - an elite basketball training center in Delhi National Capital Region (NCR), she won the Coaches Award.
She has represented India in junior FIBA tournaments twice - U16 Women's Asian Championship 2017 and U18 Women's Asian Championship 2018. And in both tournaments, held in Bengaluru, India, the squad clinched the Division B championship and elevated themselves back to Division A.
She is set to become the third Indian-born girl, since 2019, after Asmat Kaur Taunque and Harsimran Kaur to play high school basketball in the United States.
