Given the social distancing norms required to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, multiple sports programs across India have taken a hit but each is finding their own way of overcoming the distance.
"Children at home are constantly on the lookout for physical activity," said Marc Pulles, Basketball Operations Team Leader for NBA India, in an interview with Edexlive. "NBA Basketball Schools online sessions serve as a perfect platform giving them a chance to brush up their skills and not lose touch with the game, all from the comfort of their homes.
The NBA Basketball School program, that launched in 2017 in India, recently conducted their first live session and NBA Academy India's Achintya Krishna was part of the video call.
Krishna, one of the first 21 student-athletes to join the NBA Academy in India back in 2017, answered multiple questions from the kids and NBA Academy Instagram followers such as - "What is his diet and exercise plan like?", "Are you pursuing a career in basketball/academics or both?", "Can short people be good basketball players?" and more.
Here are a few highlights from the first NBA Basketball School India live video session. So find out Krishna's answers to all those questions:
