They say father time is undefeated but active future Hall of Famers Vince Carter and Dwyane Wade would beg to differ.
What these two legends are doing is remarkable – Wade looks like he could have another five successful seasons in the league. Carter has recreated himself as a perfect role player for a young determined team.
Just last week, they both turned heads with their play as they have done so many times, except this time it's at the age of 37 and 42, respectfully.
Wade sent the defending two-time NBA champion Golden State Warriors home with a loss, knocking down an insane buzzer beater to give his Miami Heat the win.
Three nights later Carter played 45 (!) minutes in the Atlanta Hawks quadruple overtime loss to the Chicago Bulls.
In tonight's matchup, they both re-wrote a page in NBA history.
In the second quarter Vince Carter knocked down a 3-pointer, his third of the game, to pass Reggie Miller for 20th on the all-time NBA scoring list.

Carter now has 25,292 points in his NBA career, 259 points shy of Carmelo Anthony (25,551 points) who ranks 19th all-time on the NBA scoring list.
Moments later in that very same quarter, Dwyane Wade blocked B.J. Johnson's jumpshot for his 1,052nd career block (regular and postseason) – passing Michael Jordan for the most blocks by a guard in NBA history.

The Heat would go on to win the game in a close one 114-113 after Wade's layup gave Miami the lead with under a minute to go.
It was only right that these two all-time greats battled it out in their final meeting – Wade finished with 23 points, five assists, two blocks and two rebounds while Vince Carter had 21 points on seven made 3-pointers.
