The Dallas Mavericks and Philadelphia 76ers traded blows at American Airlines Center in a playoff-like atmosphere.

Luka Doncic led the Mavericks with 42 points and 12 assists, while Kyrie Irving was right by his side, pouring in 40 points, six assists, four rebounds, and three steals, as the Mavericks duo took turns getting buckets against a lackluster 76ers defense.

Dallas was in control through the first half, taking a 19-point lead into the break, before Tyrese Maxey came alive in the second half, scoring 27 of his 29 points after halftime, but the Mavs held their nerve down the stretch to ice the 133-126 win.

Joel Embiid had a team-high 35 points and eight rebounds for Philadelphia, while James Harden added 27 points and 13 assists.
