The Celtics are on the verge of making NBA history, but they'll have to accomplish it without a key contributor in Game 5.

Boston fell behind 3-0 in its Eastern Conference Finals series against Miami, but the Celtics have since won back-to-back games to force a Game 6.

On Saturday, the Celtics will look to become the fourth team in NBA history to force a Game 7 after trailing 3-0 in a series. If they're successful, they'll have the opportunity to be the first team to overcome a 3-0 deficit.

However, key reserve Malcolm Brogdon has been dealing with a forearm injury that has limited the 2023 Sixth Man of the Year in this series.

Will he be available for Game 6 as the Celtics look to pull off the unthinkable?

Is Malcolm Brogdon playing vs. Celtics tonight?

Brogdon has officially been listed as out for Game 6 against the Heat due to a right forearm strain.

Brogdon went through pregame warmups but his forearm did not feel well enough to suit up.

The Athletic's Jared Weiss revealed before Game 5 that Brogdon has been dealing with a torn tendon in his right arm leading from his elbow to his forearm since Game 1.

That helps explain Brogdon's struggles in this series, as he is averaging just 6.8 points on 33.3/18.8/77.8 shooting splits in the Eastern Conference Finals.

With the Celtics building a big lead early in Game 5, Brogdon only played eight minutes in the win.
