The Los Angeles Lakers are two wins away from an NBA championship.

LeBron James and Anthony Davis dominated to combine for 63 points against a shorthanded Miami squad without Bam Adebayo (shoulder) and Goran Dragic (foot).

Final - Lakers 124, Heat 114

-It's over. The Lakers secure a comfortable 124-114 win in game 2 that always looked a little closer on the scoreboard than it felt in reality. Los Angeles now take a 2-0 lead in the series and are one step close to another NBA Championship.

-Davis continues to crush Miami on the glass. He puts back a jam and the Lakers now have 21 second chance points on the night. They lead by 13 points with two minutes to play and this one is all but over.

-It's 115-104 Lakers with 4:36 left. Los Angeles are a few minutes away from taking a commanding 2-0 lead in the series.

-Kendrick Nunn comes up with the incredible block on Davis in the paint!

-The game is getting a little chippy as the Heat desperately try to make one last run. They've been unable to cut into the defiicit however and still trail by 10 points with 7:49 remaining.


End of the Third - Lakers 103, Heat 93

-Kelly Olynyk with the tough finish after drawing contact on LeBron. The Heat are scrapping to stay in the game. Olynyk has 16 points off the bench.

-Lakers social is all of us...

-Davis continues his outrageous offensive performance. He's up to 30 points in just 26 minutes. Lakers call time with a 92-79 lead and 3:56 to go in the third.

-Lakers lead 82-64 with 8:24 left in the third and Los Angeles look to land the game defining blow early in the second half.

-The Anthony Davis takeover has been initiated. Davis 24 points on 11-for-12 shooting and the Heat simply have no answer for his dominance inside and out.

-Second half is about to get underway in game 2. It's been domination inside for the Lakers where they hold an 30-18 advantage in the paint. The Heat knocked just six triples in the first half and will mostly likely have to get cooking from the outside to make this one a game down the stretch.

Halftime - Lakers 68, Heat 54

-A 39-point second quarter leaves the Lakers with a big lead at the half. Davis has 15 points while LeBron has added 12 points to go with his six assists.

-Not for the first time in this one, the Lakers respond with a major rally. A 17-6 run in 2:42 of play has the Lakers leading 64-49, the largest of the game. That happened quickly.

-Miami are +11 in free-throw attempts so far in the first half and are working it inside and drawing contact. Heat close to within four points, 47-43 with 4:30 until the half.

-10 points, five rebounds and three assists for LeBron already while Jimmy Butler has just five points on 1-for-3 shooting. The Heat need Butler to be more assertive in finding his shot with Dragic out of the lineup.

-Jae Crowder knocks down the corner three on the extra pass from Kendrick Nunn. Lakers lead 40-30 with 8:01 left in the half. 

-LeBron James takes it all the way to the basket through contact. Lakers lead is out to a game-high 12 points with 10 minutes left in the first half. Danger period coming up for Miami.

End of the 1st - Lakers 29, Heat 23

-Miami are weathering the early storm and appear to have tightened up the transitin defense. Lakers lead 27-21 with 1:33 left in the first.

-The Lakers have extended their lead to 22-14 with 3:53 to go in the first quarter. Frank Vogel is challenging a shooting foul called on Rajon Rondo. Rondo appeared to foul Duncan Robinson in the act of shooting from behind the 3-point line.

-Leonard and now Kelly Olynyk have knocked down threes. The Heat are going to need the outside shots to fall for the two big men without Adebayo.

-The Lakers are looking dangerous in transition. Dwight Howard has six points, Davis has four and the Lakers lead 14-8 with 7:34 left in the first.

-Anthony Davis scores first with a mid-range turnaround. Meyers Leonard is going to have his hands full trying to slow down AD.

Pregame

-LeBron is getting locked in.

-Tyler Herro and Meyers Leonard are moving into the starting lineup for Miami tonight to replace Adebayo and Dragic.

-Some bad news for the Heat: Bam Adebayo and Goran Dragic have reportedly been ruled out for Game 2. Whereas Adebayo is dealing with a left shoulder and neck injury, Dragic suffered a tear of the left plantar fascia in Game 1.
