Lakers vs. Warriors final score, results: Anthony Davis' historic night propels LA to Game 1 win image

The Lakers were able to strike first in their Western Conference Semifinal matchup against the Warriors, holding on for a nail-biting 117-112 win at the Chase Center on Tuesday night.

Anthony Davis was unstoppable, recording 30 points, 23 rebounds, five assists and four blocks in Game 1. He is just the fourth player in franchise history with a 30-20-5 line in the postseason.

Five Lakers finished in double-figures in the win. LeBron James recorded 22 points, 11 rebounds, four assists and three blocks, and D'Angelo Russell and Dennis Schroder each contributed 19 points.

Golden State trailed by 14 points with six minutes remaining in the fourth quarter before reeling off a 14-0 run to tie things up. Los Angeles responded by scoring the final five points of the game to steal home-court advantage.

Stephen Curry led the Warriors with 27 points. Klay Thompson added 25 points, and Jordan Poole had 21 points off the bench. Kevon Looney continued his dominance on the glass, hauling in 23 rebounds to go with 10 points and five assists.

12:26 a.m. — Dennis Schroder buries a pair of free throws to ice the win and give the Lakers a 1-0 lead.

12:33 a.m. — Jordan Poole launches a 28-footer to tie the game, but it's off. Can the Lakers hold on?

12:32 a.m. — 600 playoff threes for Steph Curry!

12:30 a.m. — Make that a 14-0 run for Golden State, and we're tied at 112-112 with under 90 seconds to go!

12:27 a.m. — Jordan Poole again! He drills the 3-pointer to make it an 11-0 run and cut the lead to just three points.

12:24 a.m. — Wiggins is giving it his all on the offensive glass, but the Warriors can't capitalize, missing three-straight 3-pointers. Lakers lead, 112-106.

12:17 a.m. — Anthony Davis joins some elite Lakers company! He's just the fourth player in franchise history with 30 points, 20 rebounds and five assists in the playoffs, joining Wilt Chamberlain, Elgin Baylor and Shaquille O'Neal.

End of third quarter: Lakers 96, Warriors 88

12:00 a.m. — LeBron and Steph check back into the game with 15.6 seconds remaining in the quarter, but it's Kevon Looney who gets the final bucket of the third to cut the lead to eight points.

11:54 p.m. — Klay Thompson bringing the "Showtime" to Game 1 with the slick behind-the-back dime to cut the lead to 86-80.

11:49 p.m. — A timely triple from LeBron, who connects on his first 3-pointer of the game.

11:40 p.m. — D'Angelo Russell has picked up the pace for the Lakers in the third quarter. He's got 15 points and five dimes.

11:38 p.m. — Stephen Curry picks up his third foul early in the third. He remains in the game.

Halftime: Lakers 65, Warriors 64

The Lakers take a slight edge into the half behind Anthony Davis' 23 points and 11 rebounds. LeBron James has 12 points, five rebounds and four assists.

Klay Thompson leads the Dubs with 18 points. Jordan Poole has 13 points, and Stephen Curry has been limited to 10 points.

11:17 p.m. — LEBRON JAMES!!! He drills the jumper in the final seconds to give the Lakers a 65-64 lead heading into the half.

11:16 p.m. — Jordan Poole with the 4-point play to cut the lead to 63-62. He's scored all 13 of his points in the second quarter.

11:12 p.m. — The free throw difference tells the story of the game so far with the Lakers attacking the rim and the Dubs letting it fly from deep. The Lakers have gone 16-of-17 at the line, while the Warriors have not yet taken a trip to the charity stripe.

11:04 p.m. — Jordan Poole has completely changed the tempo of the game, draining three triples in the space of 90 seconds. Golden State is now 12-of-25 from deep, while the Lakers are just 1-of-8.

11:03 p.m. — Curry continues to climb.

10:49 p.m. — The Lakers' bench is giving them some much-needed offense early in the second. They're outscoring the Warriors' reserves 13-0.

10:48 p.m. — Dennis Schroder picks Stephen Curry's pocket and gives the Lakers their first lead of the night.

10:47 p.m. — The Warriors' extra effort on the glass is paying dividends early in Game 1. In the first quarter, they hauled in six offensive rebounds, giving them nine more shots than the Lakers.

End of first quarter: Warriors 31, Lakers 29

After a slow start, the Lakers clawed their way back to trail by just two points at the end of one. Anthony Davis leads the way with 14 points, while Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson each have 10 points.

10:41 p.m. — Here comes Stephen Curry! He buries back-to-back triples to give the Dubs a 31-25 lead late in the first. He's scored the last eight points for Golden State.

10:38 p.m. — LeBron lobs it up to Anthony Davis for the jam in transition.

10:31 p.m. — Kevon Looney picks up right where he left off with his intensity on the glass. He grabs two quick offensive rebounds and gets the score.
