Kyrie Irving injury update: Brooklyn Nets guard exits Game 4 with sprained right ankle image

The hits keep on coming for the Brooklyn Nets.

All-Star guard Kyrie Irving was ruled out of the remainder of Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals with the Milwaukee Bucks with a sprained right ankle.

Without Irving and James Harden, who has missed all but the first 43 seconds of the series with a hamstring injury, the Nets suffered an 11-point loss to the Bucks, who evened the series at two games apiece. After the game, Nets head coach Steve Nash said that X-Rays on Irving's ankle returned negative, per Malika Andrews of ESPN.

Irving suffered the injury on a drive midway through the second quarter of Game 4. After he missed a contested layup, Irving landed on the foot of Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo and remained down as the ball went the other way.

Brooklyn called a timeout, Irving exited the floor on his own power and was ruled out during the halftime break.

His status for the remainder of the series is dependent on the severity of the sprain. Stick with NBA.com for more updates regarding his status moving forward.
