"I think that's a little premature to say there is no more dynasty," Klay Thompson said when asked to respond to talks of there being no dynasty anymore for the Golden State Warriors.
Among the recent NBA Finalists, the popular opinion would state that the Warriors have been impacted more by the player movement in the 2019 offseason than the Raptors.
"We still have Stephen Curry, a two-time MVP, Draymond Green, a Defensive Player of the Year. Adding D'Angelo Russell was an incredible gift for us. I mean, the kid is going to blossom into a superstar in this league," Thompson further added in his conversation with ESPN's Cari Champion at the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Multiplayer Reveal in Los Angeles.
Despite managing to keep their core of Stephen Curry, Draymond Green and Thompson (re-signed to a 5-year max deal), the Warriors' roster saw a lot of turnover during free agency.

They acquired D'Angelo Russell, guard Shabazz Napier and forward Treveon Graham in a sign-and-trade that sent Kevin Durant and a protected first-round pick to the Brooklyn Nets. They also re-signed key big man Kevon Looney but had to part way with veterans in Andre Iguodala (traded to the Memphis Grizzlies) and Shaun Livingston (waived).
Not re-signing players like DeMarcus Cousins and Quinn Cook, meant the Warriors needed to add fresh faces to their locker room. They signed up players like Willie Cauley-Stein, Alec Burks, and Glenn Robinson III, while trading for Omari Spellman from the Atlanta Hawks.
"To say the dynasty is over, I think is a little ignorant cause, I think, I'm going to come back a 110%. I think I'm going to come back even better and more athletic," Thompson added while continuing to dispute the talk of a dynasty coming to an end.
"It would not be smart to count the Dubs out. That's all I tell people. Especially with the chemistry we still have and our foundation still being there, I think we have an ability to continue this run."
MORE: Are the Warriors a lock to make the Playoffs?
Thompson tore his left ACL in Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals, the Warriors fifth straight, but it's been nearly a month since he has undergone a successful surgery to repair it.
"It's obviously the most tragic part of sports," Klay said about his injury.
The Warriors shooting guard offered no specific timetable on his return but did mention his desire to make it back on the floor during the 2019-20 season.
"I'd love to see the floor this season. I don't know when that is. I doubt it's before the All-Star break but, at some point, it would be a goal of mine. I know the ACL is a 10-12 month injury but if I keep working hard, I'll be on the front end of that."
