What is Joel Embiid's injury?

Embiid has a right calf injury.

Embiid suffered the injury during Philadelphia's win over Chicago on March 22. He led the 76ers to a 28-point halftime lead with 12 points, seven rebounds and seven assists through two quarters, but he didn't return in the second half due to tightness in his right calf.

76ers head coach Doc Rivers said afterward that Embiid's injury was considered to be "very mild."

“We just felt like (keeping him out) was the right thing to do,” Rivers said.

The 76ers listed Embiid as questionable with right calf tightness against both the Warriors on March 24 and the Suns on March 25, but he appeared in both games.

How long will Joel Embiid be out?

Embiid will make his return on Wednesday, March 29 against the Mavericks, per ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski.

After missing Monday's potential MVP showdown against Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets, Embiid will retake the floor against Luka Doncic and Dallas.
