Jalen Brunson is nearing his return from injury.

After missing three straight games with a sore foot, Brunson is expected to be listed as questionable for New York's meeting with Denver on Saturday.

The injury has kept Brunson out of five of New York's last six games. The Knicks went 3-2 in the games he missed.

What is Jalen Brunson's injury?

Brunson missed New York's matchups with Boston on March 5 and Charlotte on March 7 with a sore left foot. He returned from the two-game absence on March 9 against the Kings, only to leave after the first half with the same injury.

Brunson was seen hobbling after a drive to the basket in the closing seconds of the second quarter.

Brunson left the game with 19 points on 6-for-12 shooting in 19 minutes of play.

How long will Jalen Brunson be out?

Knicks head coach Tom Thibodeau said after the Kings game that Brunson had indeed re-aggravated his injury.

The loss to the Kings was the first of four straight road games for the Knicks. Brunson missed the rest of the trip, sitting against the Clippers, Lakers and Trail Blazers.

The Knicks return to New York for a matchup with the Nuggets on Saturday, March 18. Thibodeau told the media that Brunson was a full participant in practice the day before the game and will be listed as questionable.

With a 41-30 record, the Knicks currently have the fifth-best record in the Eastern Conference. They're 2.5 games behind the fourth-place Cavaliers (44-28) and 1.5 games ahead of the sixth-place Nets (39-31).

In his first season with the Knicks, Brunson is averaging career highs of 23.8 points and 6.1 assists per game.
