On July 5, the Golden State Prep announced the signing of NBA Academy India's Jagshaanbir Singh.

The 19-year old was among the first prospects for the Academy when it was first set up in India in 2017. Within a couple of months of joining the Academy, Singh was part of NBA's Asia Pacific Camp held in China in 2017.

The 6-10 center will join the postgraduate program at Golden State Prep, an institute based in the Napa Valley, California.

On his selection, Jagshaanbir said, "This program will be a new challenge and I am positive that at Golden State Prep I will hone my skills further. I would like to thank the team at the NBA Academy India that contributed to my growth and prepared me to take this next step forward."

In August 2018, Singh had represented India at the FIBA U18 Asian Championships in Thailand.
