After more than two decades sharing an arena with the Lakers and Kings, the Clippers will finally have a home to themselves: the Intuit Dome.

Constructed in Inglewood, California, south of the Rams' and Chargers' shared SoFi Stadium, the brand-new venue is already setting the standard for elevating the fan experience, and it hasn't even opened its doors.

From a 360-degree scoreboard to seats with charging ability, this arena is a serious step up for the Clippers from Crypto.com Arena, formerly known as the Staples Center. And while it won't just be basketball that graces its brand new floors, the Intuit Dome is built with every intention of getting the fans as involved in the game as possible.

The Clippers unveiled some of the Los Angeles-area arena's features to members of the press, and it's safe to say they are nothing short of impressive. Here's everything you need to know about the Intuit Dome and what it has to offer.

Intuit Dome features

The highlight of the Intuit Dome's innovative features is its scoreboard, referred to as a "Halo Board." It is reported to be "the largest double-sided halo display in an arena setting, at almost a full acre" — that's equivalent to 3,592 60 inch TVs and 233 million LEDs, covering 38,375 square feet.

The Halo Board should make sitting in the upper-bowl seats a much more enjoyable experience. Additionally, the board is equipped with T-shirt cannons so everyone in the arena has a shot at picking up some free merch.

“It’s unfair. It’s not right,” Clippers owner Steve Ballmer said of regular T-shirt tosses that only reach those closest to the court. He's discovered the solution with his team's new home.

In another convenient feature, every seat in the arena will come equipped with a USB-C charger and a built-in light that can connect to the Halo Board for an all-encompassing experience. On each armrest are four buttons that act as game controllers to allow fans to engage in live Halo Board competitions — including trivia and other challenges — during events at the stadium.

When does the Intuit Dome open?

Bruno Mars will headline the first event at the Intuit Dome with shows on Aug. 15 and 16. The Clippers won't play there until the NBA season begins in October.

Intuit Dome capacity

The Intuit Dome is expected to seat 17,700 spectators. It will be slightly smaller than Crypto.com Arena, which holds up to 19,067 for basketball games, and slightly bigger than the Kia Forum, which has a capacity of 17,500.

The average NBA arena holds 18,790, with the United Center in Chicago bearing the title for largest venue in the league at 20,917 seats.
