The first two days of action saw 26 teams across the NBA open their respective seasons. Friday featured a three-game slate in which the remaining four teams began their 2019-20 campaigns.

Trae Young started the season with a bang, going off for 38 points, nine assists and seven rebounds on 6-of-10 shooting from three, while John Collins added 20 points and 10 rebounds.  

Vince Carter checked into the game with 6:52 remaining in the first quarter, becoming the first player in NBA history to play in 22 NBA seasons.

For the Pistons, Derrick Rose led the way with 27 points off the bench. Andre Drummond followed up his monster performance yesterday with 21 points and 12 rebounds.

Bucks 117, Rockets 111

The Milwaukee Bucks have tipped off their 2019-20 regular season in impressive fashion, by storming home in the fourth quarter to defeat the Houston Rockets on the road. Milwaukee trailed by as many as 16 points on the night, before outscoring Houston 39-24 in the fourth.

Ersan Ilyasova iced the win, nailing a mid-range jumpshot with 14.7 seconds left, capping off a nine-point fourth period for the veteran.

Reigning MVP, Giannis Antetokounmpo fouled out of the game with 5:18 left, but not before filling the box score with 30 points, 13 rebounds and 11 assists.

James Harden and Russell Westbrook struggled shooting the ball, finishing a combined 9-for-30 from the field in the loss.

Clippers 141, Warriors 122

The Clippers move to 2-0 on the season after a comfortable 19-point win to spoil the Warriors' first game their brand new arena, the Chase Center. 

Kawhi Leonard led the way with 21 points and a career-high nine assists as the Clippers used a balanced offensive performance to cruise to victory, with seven players scoring in double figures. 

After taking an 11-point lead into the half, the Clippers blew the game open in the third quarter, outscoring the Warriors 46-33, stretching the lead to as many as 31 points.

Steph Curry led the Warriors with 23 points, shooting just 2-of-11 from three, while D'Angelo Russell added 20 points and eight assists.
