EuroBasket 2022 is upon us, set to tip off on Thursday, Sept. 1.

As we gear up for one of the biggest international tournaments in the world, there is no shortage of star power on display with several big-name NBA players suiting up for their countries.

By now, you probably know that Giannis Antetokounmpo will take the floor for Greece, Luka Doncic will lead the way for Slovenia and Nikola Jokic headlines a Serbian team that is among the favorites to win gold. But as you scan up and down the rosters for each country, you'll notice there are a lot of familiar names that you may not have seen or thought about in a while.

Along with the current NBA players competing at EuroBasket are a large crop of former NBA players who will play integral roles for their respective countries.

Below, you can find a list of former NBA players who will be suiting up at EuroBasket, listed by the country they compete for.

Which former NBA players are at EuroBasket 2022?

Bosnia and Herzegovina

Dzanan Musa, F

Last played in NBA: 2019-20

Musa was selected by the Nets with the No. 29 pick in the 2018 NBA Draft. He played 49 games over two seasons in the NBA, averaging 4.3 points and 1.9 rebounds in 10.7 minutes per contest.

Hezonja

Croatia

Mario Hezonja, F

Last played in NBA: 2019-20

Hezonja was a highly touted draft prospect, selected by the Magic fifth overall in the 2015 NBA Draft. He played five full seasons in the NBA, spending three seasons with Orlando, one with the Knicks and one with the Trail Blazers.

Playing over 300 games in the league, Hezonja's best season was 2017-18, where he averaged 9.6 points and 3.7 rebounds per game with the Magic. His most memorable moment was, without a doubt, a game-winning block on LeBron James.

Satoransky

Czech Republic

Tomas Satoransky, G

Last played in NBA: 2021-22

Satoransky was selected by the Wizards with the 32nd overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft but didn't come over to the NBA until 2016-17. Serving six seasons as a serviceable floor general, Satoransky averaged 6.9 points and 4.1 assists per game for his career.

Satoransky played 55 games across three teams — the Pelicans, Spurs and Wizards — in the NBA last season, but he has taken his talents to FC Barcelona for next season.

Jan Vesely, F

Last played in NBA: 2013-14

Vesely was another international draft prospect, being selected by the Wizards with the No. 6 overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft. He only played three seasons in the NBA, spending two and a half years in Washington before being traded to the Nuggets midway through his final season.

Vesely averaged 3.6 points and 3.5 rebounds in 162 career games.

France

Elie Okobo, G

Last played in NBA: 2019-20

Okobo was selected by the Suns with the No. 31 pick in the 2018 NBA Draft. He played two seasons in Phoenix, averaging 4.8 points and 2.2 assists over 108 games.

Vincent Poirier, F

Last played in NBA: 2020-21

Poirier came over to the NBA at 26 years old, playing one season with the Celtics and one season with the 76ers. He never received much of a chance for playing time, only averaging 5.3 minutes over 32 games before taking his talents to Real Madrid.

Guerschon Yabusele, F

Last played in NBA: 2018-19

Yabusele was drafted by the Celtics with the No. 16 overall pick in the 2016 NBA Draft. He played sparingly for Boston over two seasons, averaging 2.3 points,1.4 rebounds and 6.6 minutes in 74 games.

Georgia

Tornike Shengelia, F

Last played in NBA: 2013-14

It's been a while since Shengelia last played in the NBA, but the Georgian forward spent two seasons in the Association. He played 36 games with the Nets and nine games with the Bulls, averaging just 5.5 minutes per game.

Greece

Nick Calathes, G

Last played in NBA: 2014-15

Calathes was a college basketball star at Florida before being selected with the No. 45 pick in the 2009 NBA Draft. He immediately took his talents back to Greece where he played for Panathinaikos of the EuroLeague, but he eventually came over to the NBA in 2013. Calathes played two seasons with the Grizzlies, averaging 4.6 points and 2.7 assists before returning to Panathinaikos.

Georgios Papagiannis, C

Last played in NBA: 2017-18

Papagiannis was selected as a lottery pick in the 2016 NBA Draft, going 13th overall to the Kings, who acquired the pick from the Suns on draft night. He played in 22 games as a rookie, averaging 5.6 points and 3.9 rebounds before being traded from Sacramento to Portland the following season.

After only appearing in one game for the Trail Blazers following the trade, Papagiannis returned to his home team, Panathinaikos of the EuroLeague.

Kostas Papanikolaou, F

Last played in NBA: 2015-16

Papanikolaou was drafted with the 48th overall pick in the 2012 NBA Draft but did not make his NBA debut until 2014. He played one season with the Rockets where he averaged 4.2 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists over 43 games. He was then traded to the Nuggets in the offseason.

After one season of limited playing time with Denver, Papnikolaou took his talents to Olympiacos of the EuroLeague.

Italy

Gigi Datome, F

Last played in NBA: 2014-15

Datome came over to the NBA as a 26-year-old, playing for the Pistons and Celtics over his two-year career. Datome had some bright spots in the league as a 3-point specialist, shooting 45.0 percent from beyond the arc during the 2014-15 season.

After two seasons, Datome returned overseas, playing for Fenerbahce and Olimpia Milano.

Nico Mannion, G

Last played in NBA: 2020-21

Mannion was selected by the Warriors with the 48th pick in the 2020 NBA Draft. He played 30 games for Golden State as a rookie, averaging 4.1 points and 2.3 assists per game. After one season in the NBA, Mannion decided to join Virtus Bologna of Italy's Serie A, but the Warriors still own the 21-year-old's rights.

Nicolo Melli, F

Last played in NBA: 2020-21

Melli is another veteran who came over to the NBA later in his playing career. Making his NBA debut at 29 years old, Melli played 60 games as a 3-point specialist for the Pelicans in 2019-20. He was traded from New Orleans to Dallas midway through his second season and then decided to return overseas, playing for Olimpia Milano.

Lithuania

Ignas Brazdeikis, F

Last played in NBA: 2021-22

Brazdeikis played 42 games for the Magic last season, averaging 5.0 points and 1.7 rebounds in 12.8 minutes per game. This offseason, the former second-round pick decided to take his talents to his home country of Lithuania, set to play for Zalgiris Kaunas next season.

Serbia

Marko Guduric, G

Last played in NBA: 2019-20

Guduric only played one season in the NBA, suiting up for the Grizzlies in 2019-20. He appeared in 44 games, averaging 3.9 points while shooting 30.1 percent from 3-point range. After one stint with Memphis, Guduric took his talents overseas to play for Fenerbahce.

Slovenia

Zoran Dragic, G

Last played in NBA: 2014-15

Zoran's NBA career was short-lived, playing one year alongside his older brother, Goran. Zoran played six games for the Suns before he was included in the trade that sent his brother to Miami. Only appearing in 16 total games, Zoran averaged fewer than 2.0 points per game before heading back overseason, where he has played for eight different teams since 2015.

Mike Tobey, C

Last played in NBA: 2016-17

Tobey had a cup of coffee in the NBA, appearing in two games for the Hornets during the 2016-17 season. He currently plays for FC Barcelona and is a key cog of Slovenia's national team.

Spain

Lorenzo Brown, G

Last played in NBA: 2018-19

Brown has bounced around quite a bit in the NBA, playing for the 76ers, Timberwolves, Suns and Raptors over five seasons. He won G League MVP as a member of Raptors 905 in 2018, then appeared in 26 games for Toronto the following season. After the 2018-19 season, he took his talents overseas where he currently plays for Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Rudy Fernandez, G

Last played in NBA: 2011-12

Fernandez had a breakout rookie season with the Trail Blazers in 2008-09, averaging 10.4 points, 2.7 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game en route to earning All-Rookie Second Team honors. He had three solid seasons in Portland — averaging over 8.0 points per game all three years — before being traded to the Nuggets in 2011.

After one season in Denver, Fernandez returned to Real Madrid, where he has enjoyed a very successful career with the Spanish powerhouse.

Turkey

Shane Larkin, G

Last played in NBA: 2017-18

Larkin played for four different teams over his four-year NBA career, last suiting up for the Celtics during the 2017-18 season. The reserve guard was crucial off the bench for Boston during its 2018 playoff run, sliding up in the depth chart after starter Kyrie Irving went down with an injury just before the postseason started.

Larkin used his strong postseason performance as a jumping-off point to establish a successful career in Turkey, where he has won multiple championships and awards for Anadolu Efes.

Teams without a former NBA player: Belgium, Bulgaria, Estonia, Finland, Germany, Great Britain, Hungary, Israel, Montenegro, Netherlands, Poland, Ukraine.
