21 seasons. One team.

On Wednesday (AEST), Dirk Nowitzki played in front of Dallas' home crowd at the American Airlines Center for the last time as the Mavericks hosted the Phoenix Suns.

Nowitzki came to play, scoring 30 points (11-31 FG) in his 32 minutes on the court. Not only was it a season-high, Nowitzki is now the oldest player in NBA history to score 30 or more points in a game, passing Michael Jordan.

As the 40-year-old has provided Mavericks faithful with a number of memories including the franchise's lone title in 2011, it comes as no surprise that he was honoured accordingly on such a momentous occasion.
