With his first three (second bucket overall) of the game against the Pelicans in New Orleans, All-Star Damian Lillard moved past LaMarcus Aldridge for the second spot on the franchise's all-time scoring charts.

Aldridge and Lillard, having played the latter's first three seasons in the league together, did have a relationship. Now, a member of the San Antonio Spurs, Aldridge was quick to take to social media to congratulate his former teammate for his achievement:
Congrats @Dame_Lillard 👌🏾

Meanwhile, Terry Stotts, who has been Lillard's coach right from the beginning had a lot more to say about the 4-time All-Star:

Hopefully?
Not for Lillard. The 2012-13 Rookie of the Year was quick to establish that he has Clyde Drexler in his sights and is certainly gunning to pass him.
"I think out of all of the ... people I've passed, [Aldridge] is the first one that I've been in the league at the same time as, and was a teammate of mine ... Now I'm gunning for Clyde." — @Dame_Lillard in tonight's @Biofreeze Top Performance Review. pic.twitter.com/LUE4XgMO3z

It shouldn't be long before we see Lillard at the No. 1 spot.
With the Blazers beating the Pelicans in this game despite a career-high 45 from Julius Randle, surely the achievement became that much sweeter.
