Caron Butler's NBA career spanned 14 seasons and 881 regular-season games, producing two All-Star appearances and over 12,000 points.

Now retired, Butler has moved into the media sphere, working with Turner Sports as an NBA analyst among other roles.

Above all else, Butler's most important work continues to occur in the community, as the Wisconsin native has formed a leadership role in the fight against social injustices across the United States.

Butler recently caught up with Close Up 360 to further discuss his work in the community, particulary surrounding Juneteenth and educating those in his homestate and indeed right across the country.

Furthering his tireless efforts is the launch of an essay program with educational platform, Yellowbrick. Butler will review essay submissions on social injustice and 25 scholarships will be awarded in total, with entries closing at the end of October.
