The Miami Heat take a commanding 2-0 series lead after storming home to secure a 106-101 win over the Boston Celtics in Game 2. 

The Heat had six players score in double figures, led by 25 points from Goran Dragic. Bam Adebayo finished with 21 points and 10 rebounds, taking over in the third quarter as the Heat outscored the Celtics 37-17 to swing momentum in their favour. 

Kemba Walker led the Celtics with 23 points, while Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum added 21 apiece.

- The Heat roared home to seal the win behind a huge defensive effort, forcing 20 Celtics turnvoers which they converted into 26 points.

- Another big defensive play from Butler. He breaks up the Celtics' lob attempt to seal the win!

- Butler with the hustle play, gets his reward with a wide open dunk. He hasn't had the best night shooting the ball, but he's set the tone on the defensive end for Miami.

His free throws with 7.4 seconds left put them up 106-101.


- Walker hits another triple and the Celtics extend the lead to 94-89, capping off a 15-2 run!!

- Kemba Walker is back in the game and buries the 3-pointer after the Celtics missed their last 11 attempts. The lead is down to two points, 89-87.

- The Heat have seized control of the game with Jimmy Butler only going 2-of-7 from the field for his eight points. They have five different players in double figures.

- Jae Crowder hits another triple and the Heat follow it up with a steal on the inbound. Their intensity and hustle are proving to be the difference. THey lead 87-79 with 10:18 remaining. 

End of third quarter: Heat 84, Celtics 77

- After trailing by 13 points at the half, the Heat have flipped the game on its head, outscoring the Celtics 37-17 in the third quarter.

- Boston shot just 4-of-12 from the field and had five turnovers in the quarter.

- Adebayo led the charge for the Heat with 15 of his 19 points in the period, while Goran Dragic's aggressive play getting to the hoop is causing the Celtics defence plenty of headaches. 

- Duncan Robinson AGAIN! He's hit six 3-pointers!

- After the Celtics' strong start in the paint, Bam Adebayo has responded in the third with 12 points in the period on 5-of-6 shooting. His combination with Goran Dragic in the pick-and-roll is knifing through the Celtics' defence. The Heat have regained the lead 72-71, after trailing by as many as 17 points.

- The Heat's zone defence is limiting the Celtics' ability to get off clean looks in the third. They've willed their way back into the contest on the defensive end. 

- Jae Crowder buries the off-balance 3-pointer and gets the foul for the and-1. His 4-point play cuts  the lead down to six points.

- The Celtics are dominating inside, thanks to some inspired from Kanter and Theis. They're outrebounding the Heat 31-17 and outscoring them in the paint 38-20.

- Jayson Tatum picks up his third foul early in the period.

- Duncan Robinson's back in the game, doing what he does best. Another triple cuts the Celtics lead to 10 points (67-57).

Half-time: Celtics 60, Heat 47

- After a tight first quarter, the Celtics have stamped their authority on the game on both ends to take a 13-point lead into the break, shooting 58.1% from the field in the opening 24 minutes.

- Kemba Walker leads the Celtics with 14 points and five rebounds, while Marcus Smart has 10 points and Enes Kanter nine.

- Duncan Robinson leads the Heat with 12 points, Tyler Herro has 11.

- Jimmy Butler gets his first field goal with 3:55 to go in the half. The Celtics defence is sending plenty of attention his way, limiting him to just 1-5 from the field in the first half.

- Kemba Walker's got it going for the Celtics as they open up their biggest lead of the game, 52-39. The Heat have to do a better job keeping him out of the paint.

- Enes Kanter is giving the Celtics good minutes early in the second. He's up to eight points and six rebounds on 4-of-4 from the field

- Brad Wanamaker's making his impact felt early in the second knocking down two quick 3-pointers. Boston have shot a sizzling 17-of-25 from the field, but their seven turnovers are keeping the Heat in the contest

End of first quarter: Celtics 31, Heat 28

Duncan Robinson set the tone in the first quarter, leading the Heat with 12 points, all coming from the 3-point line. They shot 6-of-14 from deep as a team in the period, while the Celtics hit 4-of-7.

- Marcus Smart leads the Celtics with 8 points. Tatum has seven and Walker six.

- Jayson Tatum gets quick back-to-back buckets late in the first. The Heat are doing a great job defensively trapping the ball and getting it out of his hands and forcing the pass. 

- Both teams are letting it fly from deep early! Duncan Robinson's knocked down 3 quick triples as the Heat take a 17-16 lead with 6:08 remaining in the quarter.
