As NBA stars continue to assist with Covid-19 relief, the Antetokounmpo brothers have made a major donation to their homeland, Greece.

Reigning NBA Most Valuable Player, Giannis Antetokounmpo and older brother Thanasis of the Milwaukee Bucks have joined younger sibling Kostas of the Los Angeles Lakers in donating 10,000 surgical masks to a neighbourhood in Athens.

Earlier in the day, Giannis tweeted a message of thanks and gratitude for those working on the frontline during the pandemic.

"As a family we feel the need to thank all our young heroes, doctors, nurses, all those who risk their health, to return as soon as possible to our normalcy and the people we love," Antetokounmpo said.

"Know that you give us strength and that this act of self-sacrifice is a precious dowry that will accompany us forever. Friends, let us do our duty, we stay home to make the work of our heroes easier. Good strength to all! With love, the Antetokunbo family"
